La Liga is one of the most exciting football leagues on the planet and lots of world-class youngsters ply their trade on Spain’s biggest stage on a weekly basis. FIFA 18 players will be familiar with most of La Liga’s young prospects but there are a few relatively unknown quantities around.
Everybody wants to sign Lionel Messi but there is more to gaming than controlling the top teams. Instead, it is arguably more rewarding – especially in career mode as you look to take a fairly average club to the top of the league table. We look at a few of the league’s brightest stars to sign on career mode…
Kepa Arrizabalaga (Athletic Bilbao)
Known mainly for his athleticism and control of his penalty area, Kepa is not your regular goalkeeper. Standing at just over 6 feet tall, he is much shorter than the likes of David de Gea and Thibaut Courtois. However, his 79 rating leaves scope for improvement and he is a decent, young option at an affordable price.
Kepa has been making strides in La Liga in recent times, notching eight clean sheets in 23 La Liga outings last season. Touted as a future Real Madrid goalkeeper, he can be the face of your FIFA squad for the best part of a decade.
Theo Hernandez (Real Madrid)
As with most Real Madrid starlets, you will have to pay through the roof to sign Hernandez – although a loan deal is not out of the question. The former Atletico Madrid man is one of La Liga’s top prospects and he will rank highly as one of the most gifted young defenders on FIFA 19.
Speed, strength and power are three traits needed to succeed as a defender on FIFA and the Real man ticks all of those boxes. Don’t miss out, Hernandez could be world football’s next big defensive star. He could be the face of Real Madrid’s defence for the rest of his professional career.
Carlos Soler (Valencia)
Soler is rated 78 on the current FIFA and his rating should top 80 on the next version of the game. The Valencia man notched one goal and four assists in La Liga last campaign and this could be his time to shine on the big stage.
Valencia, 2/1 for a top-four finish in La Liga betting odds with bet365, will be confident of a successful campaign and Soler will be central to their chances. The 21-year-old is well worth targeting on FIFA games and he is only going to improve as he earns more game time at the Mestalla Stadium.
Javier Ontiveros (Malaga)
Rated just 71 on the latest edition of the game, Ontiveros has the potential to flourish into a top class winger. Unlike most wide men, he isn’t blessed with blistering pace but the Malaga youngster is one of the trickiest and most skilful players outside of La Liga’s top three clubs.
His vision and creativity are two of his greatest traits and he is well worth signing on career mode. One for the future, Ontiveros can provide assist after assist for your FIFA side and he can adapt to a number of different formations and systems.
